Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018 R2 – Coming this October!
Microsoft has moved up its scheduled release of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018 R2 to October of 2018. Along with Financial enhancement, Purchasing Usability enhancement, Sales optimization and top feature request, Microsoft has also announced it will be including what it is referring to as the Intelligent Edge.
In addition to the typical on-premises GP software, Microsoft will add a new option to deploy GP 2018 R2 in conjunction with a data-synchronized cloud instance of Dynamics 365 Business Central for analytics and mobile access.
Syncing Business Central with GP business data will give customers access to new analytics, driven by Business Central’s existing machine learning tie-ins. GP customers who use the synchronization will also get default Power BI reports and a new mobile portal for viewing charts and reports.
We view this as a real win for our Dynamics GP client base. Keep the deep functionality and data you have with the Dynamics GP platform and couple it with advance BI and mobile functionality.
