Video Friday – Bill Gates’ Beach Reading List to Kick Off Your Summer

Memorial Day weekend is finally here! What better way is there to kick off summer than with a reading list recommended by none other than Bill Gates. After hearing his list, it has inspired us at Vertilocity to come up with some lists of our own. Throughout the summer we will let you know what we are reading and how it is going. Stay tuned!
In his blog, Bill writes, “Last year, there was only one book on my summer reading list that you could reasonably call a beach read. This year I tried to pick a few more things that are on the lighter side. Each of these books made me think or laugh or, in some cases, do both. I hope you find something to your liking here. And if it’s not summer where you live, this list will still be here six months from now…”

Listed below are Gates picks, and in the video he explains a little bit about each book on his beach reading list. His picks have definitely influenced my summer reading list!

  • The Magic of Reality by Richard Dawkins
  • What If? by Randall Munroe
  • XKCD by Randall Munroe
