2019: A Year in Review

Happy New Year!  As we close out 2019 and as 2020 begins, it seems like a great time to reflect on what we’ve accomplished, the steps we’ve taken to get here, and the plans we have for the future.

We appreciate the commitment and dedication of each member of the Vertilocity’ team – which have been vital to our progress and success. We are also taking the time to appreciate all of the customers and partners who make our success possible.

Initiatives

This year we made a considerable investment in technology to improve our interaction with our customers by speeding up communications and increasing convenience. The biggest change was new call center phone system.  It allowed us to minimize queue times, enhance caller experience, and evaluate how calls are handled, all in real time.  But most import, if you call the helpdesk you are alerted to where you are in the queue!

Additionally, we added an IT documentation system that gives us a trusted and optimal way of organizing your clients’ information.  And, a document approval allowing our customers to electronically sign agreements.  No more faxing required!

Awards & Certifications

Our president, Bruce Nelson, once wrote about why certifications matter because we help organizations succeed through technology. And that ethos continued in 2019.  This year we achieved:

• Channele2e Top 100 Vertical Market MSP
• Cloud Productivity Competency
• Bob Scott’s Top 100 VARs
• Channel Futures MSP 501 rankings

Trends

Technology trends can appear to be beyond small and mid-sized organizations. To see clearly and stay ahead of the game, we are diligent about learning new technologies and defining solutions to meet our customer’s challenges. Here are the products and services we launched in 2019:

Disaster Recovery as a Service – A hybrid cloud-based disaster recovery as a service that helps mitigate the downtime caused by server crashes, ransomware attacks, or natural disasters. By harnessing the power and scale of the cloud, instead of expensive, on-premise infrastructure, we can equip every organization with affordable failover and data protection.

Advanced Threat Protection 2.0 – Two years ago, we introduced our first advanced threat protection service to combat cyber security threats. Unfortunately, the cyber threats landscape has become increasingly complex, rendering traditional defenses less effective. ATP 2.0 includes advanced endpoint detection and response, web gateway security, backed by a security operations center.

Multi-Factor Authentication – Adds an additional layer of protection to ensure that even if a password gets stolen, data stays protected. It verifies the identity of all users with strong two-factor authentication – before granting access to corporate applications to protect against phishing and other access threats.

Microsoft Azure Cloud Services – While this was not a new offering for 2019, it is worth adding to our list because we have had so many customers migrate to the cloud this year. The rapid adoption was driven by the end of life for Microsoft 2008 servers this year.

We have had a great year of accomplishments, and we plan to build on those successes. It is truly an honor to have the opportunity to work with such a talented, dedicated group.  Next year is going to be a great year for the Vertilocity team and we look forward to capitalizing on the opportunities and overcoming the challenges with this group.
