Meet a Team Member – Nate Hutton
We welcome to Nate Hutton to the Vertilocity team, joining our Colorado office in a vCIO role. Nate brings his experience as both a senior systems engineer with another Colorado based managed services provider and director of information technology for a 300 person organization.
Q: What is your role here at Vertilocity?
A: The role of vCIO encompasses making sure our clients and customers are as happy as possible, as well as defining the strategy so they have the right technology for their business.
Q: What do you enjoy most about this job?
A: I LOVE to think, and I LOVE technology even more. So in this role, I get to do a bit of both, while also adding value and contributing to the growth of an already successful business.
Q: What are some of your non-IT hobbies?
A: Anything fitness related. Whether that be a standard day at the gym, or a hike to the top of a 14er I’ll try it all. Other things include drawing, producing music and spending time with my adorable son Brooks. I also love watching comedians and going to concerts.
Q: What is something that people would be surprised to know about you?
A: Probably when they find out I play the violin and love to theorize about quantum physics. (NERD ALERT)
Q: What is your favorite band or type of music?
A: Favorite band is definitely Linkin Park. Favorite type of music is ALL of it. I also play guitar and piano and mix a lot of my own music, so its all good stuff to me.
Q: What is your favorite book?
A: Waking Gods by Sylvain Neuvel
Q: What piece of technology would you love to splurge on?
A: Photography is fascinating to me, so I’d love to splurge on a really nice camera and lens.
