Office365 and Power BI

By Bruce Nelson

As anyone who has worked with us knows we believe strongly in using the tools and technologies that we implement and support for our clients.  We fundamentally believe in these solutions and incorporate them into our operations to help drive our business forward as well.  The Power BI solution available through Microsoft Office365 is no exception.  In this case we used the Power BI tool to create an interactive Project Performance dashboard that is linked to Autotask.  Autotask is our centralized tool for ticketing, dispatch, project management, contact management and more.  While there are certainly numerous reports and dashboards available within the solution, none of them were able to able to capture all the information in a single screen.  This is where Office365 and Power BI come in.  We were quickly able to create a link to the tables in Autotask (a cloud solution) and pull the various data elements in predefined dashboard elements available in Power BI.  Now management has the ability to view, review and drill down on project performance KPI’s that matter to us and our clients.
If you face similar challenges I would encourage you to contact us to see how Vertilocity and Office365 Power BI can unlock the value of your data.
